Welp, I finally got some time (and cash) to dyno the S, so here is my plan: Two (2) pulls in stock setting on 93 OCT., two (2) pulls on "pump" mode with 93 OCT., and two (2) pulls in "race" mode w/ some 104 or 110 OCT. The runs would be in that order, and I would show up with 1/8 or less of regular pump in the tank; I'd drop in about 5 gal. of some race gazz before the last two pulls.
So here are my questions:
1. For the first run, I would kinda like to simulate my car as it would have been "stock". This would mean some how reducing any benefit gained by the catback. Obviously I don't want to put my stock exhaust back on, so I'm looking for a relatively quick/simple alternative (i.e. manually restricting the exhaust in some way). I was thinking of packing the tips with a little steel wool or other type of semi-restrictive material, just to add a little extra back pressure. No too much, just a few HP or so. Has anyone done this before, or have any thoughts?
2. Secondly, I would like to log all of these pulls with VAGCOM, but I'm not sure if that's the best software for the job. Maybe ECUx would be better, IDK? Also, which would be the most useful blocks to log?
3. And lastly, does anyone in Miami know where to get some 104 or better?? The closest that I know of is Homestead/Miami Speedway... And please don't say the Sunoco on Sheridan, cause I'm pretty sure they only carry 99 OCT.
