    are 18x8.5s ok for a 1.8t. i dont want to lose power and was curious if i would if i ran 18s.

    They should work just fine.
    Weight is where you loose power - not size(takes more energy to turn something 25lbs vs 15lbs) really expensive wheels are light for that reason.

    your car will most likeley look like balls on them, thats why theyre called 'B7' wheels

    Its all about personal preference, so if he likes it then he can put them on. His money, and his hobby.


    Just check the offset as well to make sure they will fit.

    well im iv decided on the rims. and its not the b7s or reps. the only concern i was having about 18s was if i was going to lose alot of power.

    your not going to lose power... your car will just "feel" slower.. But chances are you won't notice a damn thing.. Don't worry about it.

    with tire to rim weight ratio it will most likely be about the same.
