yes airbag works (I think) Basically I wired the B6 pin 1 airbag wire to both PIN 1 wires on both stages on the new airbag, and the second pin the same procedure. I shaved the legs of the S4 logo off and then glued it on the steering wheel. Shiftknob you serperate it from the shifter surround and then remove the CV boot style clamp at the top, and pull off the knob.

No for 2 reasons 1, I did not have a wheel with buttons and 2,the buttons will only work with an RS4

Re: More S/RS goodies on the inside

what's the benefit of the steering wheel upgrade on an S4? My understanding is that it has less options than S4 wheel, and has a couple of buttons that are n/a in the S4 (lap timer, S button)

other than the flat bottom of course!

the benefit is that the S4 has the same steering wheel as the A4 (B6 and B7 to their respective A4s I mean) and that steering wheel is one of the weakest links in the sporty feel the rest of the car has. The wheel is really thin, with no contours at 10 and 2. The RS4 wheel, on the other hand, is much thicker. So people sacrifice the multifunction buttons in place of an all around better wheel.

The RS6 wheel is almost perfect. Other than the paddle shifters on the back, it has the standard MFSW buttons and the flat bottom sporty wheel

Interior looks great by the way. I never understood why people buy the ebrake handle just for perforations, but overall it all looks good.

A crucial piece of information for all those that sit with their seats 6-8 inches too close to the wheel!

Re: More S/RS goodies on the inside

    thanks for the edumacation

There's a guy on here who put an RS6 wheel on his RS4. He launched a teaser today I think.

OP...car looks awesome. RS4 pedals, RS4 wheel, RS4 brake and RNS-E. It's like a B6 that has had it's interior put through a time machine.

p.s. putting the S4 logo on the wheel is all class. Mega thumbs up!

Now...what are you doing with your S4 wheel and the RS4 logo???! Someone should eat that up on ebay

Nice upgrades - I like the extra effort of swapping the S4 and RS4 badges on the wheel. No posers!
