there have been so many threads like this lately. go to www.crutchfield.com and go to outfit my car and it will show you all of the stuff you need. Good choice on the f90bt. just got one for myself but im getting it installed at either ABT or Rays Electronics.

install is very simple...use search there is a diy for the avic d3 and its the same thing except for the bluetooth part...and use avic411.com to learn how to bypass....the hardest part is wiring everything which i would recommend doing at home before you start on the car....then pop out the old radio, plug in the harnesses, run ur mic and pop in the navi....didn't take me and my cousin who is good with radio's and installing systems more than 2 hours

    .....good luck

You need a harness, powered antenna adaptor Metra Kit (9105) and several hours labor if you are doing the Sirius stuff too. If you are not doing sirius and connecting it to the basic speakers with no amps most of the work is done outside the car (pre-wiring) and depending on your proficiency can be done relatively quickly. Most of the work (and subsequently time) is running wires.

FYI I used the little metallic sticky pad that came with the GPS antenna and put it under the Satellite antenna in the rear deck instead (using one side of velcro). VASTLY improved my satellite reception. Just put the GPS antenna in the far passenger side of the windshield and it works just fine.

Since the F series runs WinCE there is a SLEW of things that you can tweak on these things. Check www.avic411.com. I cheated and am running the "Maverick's mods" and they are working great since he had most of what I wanted.

Do this yourself, there is no point in paying an installer a couple hundred dollars to do this. If you get the metra dash kit, metra wiring harness for the b5, and the antenna adapter (which you will need to buy anyway) you can do this install in under an hour. The metra wiring harness is color coded exactly the same as the pioneer HU so you just match the wire colors and plug in the 2 harnesses. There are plenty of write-ups on here that walk you through the bypass too.

Nah, been there for years but the name of it is Guru Electronics in San Jose, CA.

There are some cheap ones out there. Look on Amazon and Ebay.

I think this one is a 900bt but I am not sure. But its only $599.
