Where did my dashlights go?

So the other day it got very cold out for the first time in a while. my dashlights worked on the way to work, although one ballast failed to ignite my headlight. Later that evening i went to leave the house, turned my lights on and no dashlights,speedometer,rpm,clock, and fuel gauge. although my check engine light (of course ) still worked, along with oil pressure,radio face, and climate control still worked??? i checked all the fuses and they were all good? any ideas..

ps. the door lock /window lights still work, but the gear lights don't work on the shifter??

Read his post again, I think he did mention he did.

No idea. I haven't come across that problem yet knock on wood. My car is 01, what is years. I have heard on earlier years it is a common problem.

It sounds like bulbs. I had half my cluster go out on me, and I just ended up buying all new bulbs for the whole cluster. They have 1.2W bulbs in there stock. I put in 2W bulbs.

Same as the Climate control, I changed those bulbs at the same time because 1 of them was burnt out.

Pretty easy to do as well. Unclip the top plastic piece from around the steering wheel, and there will be 2 screws underneath it holding the cluster in the dash. Then pull the cluster out as far as you can and unhook the connectors on the back (Being careful of the CEL light). You can then take the cluster where ever you would like to work on removing the bulbs and replacing them.
