    FMIC install question...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I took my bumper off and i'm about to get started on the FMIC. I have a question about the stock intercooler. There is a plug thats part of the intercooler... what do I do with that after I take out the stock one? The FMIC doesn't have a plug for me to use it. Do I disregard that?|

    Re: FMIC install question...

I have not installed an FMIC myself, but that is your MAP sensor. You need to cut/weld a bung onto the piping going to the thorttle body then plug the MAP sensor into that. Only the DBW cars require this. Another should chimme in and grant proper procedure. And yes, you need that sensor.

thats the map sensor, and you need it. get a bung welded onto the coldside pipe thats going to the IM so that you can reconnect that sensor.
What's AOA? If Audiworld is the 1960's, AOA is 'the man.' Don't try to fight the man, because, just like the hippies, you'll lose.

yes, you do need it. there is a flange you need to buy that needs to be welded to the cold side of the FMIC piping.
