    Imagine my rage..

So, my clutch has been on its way out since October. I ordered a new FE SS from Southbend in early December, and had them hang onto it until I was able to track down a used flywheel they could resurface. Of course, the guy I bought the flywheel from accidentally shipped it to the wrong address, so that was a nice two week delay. With the holiday season and everything, my package was finally supposed to arrive this past Friday. I came upstairs to see that my mom had signed for the package, but she didn't know what I was expecting. I pick up the box and immediately notice that it doesn't feel like a 35 lb clutch/flywheel combo. I flip it over and the shit is torn open and the box is empty!! At this point, I didn't know who to scream at, so I called UPS and someone from the claims department is supposed to call me today to schedule an appointment to inspect the package.

The package was stacked on top of another one, so my mom didn't notice. What I don't understand is how the fuck didn't the delivery man realize this? The tracking information stated that the box weighed 35 lbs, so I'm assuming UPS fucked up, not Southbend.

    *Pics soon*

    Cliffs:

    - Taken forever to get my clutch and flywheel
    - Package gets here, is empty
    - I'm out $825 and the stock clutch is on its way out

Now that is terrible. I'm sure Southbend has insurance on all their deliveries, at least I hope.

    Re: Imagine my rage..

south bend packs there things very bad and i am not surprised. When i recived my box it was broken and appeared to be retapedand i was right the clutch and fly wheel had fallen right out of the box on to the floor and they had UPS had just put it back in and taped it up this happens becuase southbend does not know how to pack the products anyway the flywheel was craked in someplaces and the clutch disk was beat to Shi**. I told southbend they had better learn how to pack.

You say ups is a fault and i say it is south bends shi**packing jobs. but i hope it all works out for you.

    Re: Imagine my rage..

mine came packed quite well. they had injected that hardening foam around it so it was safe and sound, keep in mind the damn thing is quite heavy and these boxes take a rough trip. i would be very pissed as well, file with UPS asap!

Yup, I just got off the phone with Southbend and they said they'd contact UPS and take care of it. The problem is, it took me forever to track down a used flywheel, and even longer for it to get to Southbend, get resurfaced and shipped back to me. I'm not sure if I'll get reimbursed for the flywheel, either. I was supposed to get this clutch taken care of over winter break, now I'm having surgery on wednesday and going back to school in a week, so I don't see this getting done anytime soon.
