this happened to me... make sure your brake light isnt staying on / even coming on... it could be the brake sensor switch behind the brake pedal getting stuck... quick easy fix, and the part is cheap. It is a known problem.

    Re: cruise control not working

Same problem hear. Ever since I bought my car to the dealer it stopped working. I've used the Cruise Control on long trips, but now nothing works. My brake lights are not staying on when releasing the pedal so can it still be the sensor even though the brake light goes off as it should?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks

    Re: cruise control not working

Mine didnt always stay on when it happened... but soon it started everytime. It may not be it, but I know if the sensor is bad the cruise control thinks your brake is always on... therefor not kicking on.
