I have a multifunction steering wheel and i hate the ergonomics of it.... it just feels so weird when i drive. does anyone know where to get an audi 3 spoke sport steering wheel from? Id rather keep mine then go to a dealer and get ripped off

Just watch ebay periodically. There is an S-Line one there right now that was never used for $300 that is mint. I didn't see any S ones though. The Euro RS4/6 style ones are pimp too but i have yet to see one for less for $650.

i would love one of these... but have heard of problems with a dual stage airbag not being compatible with a B6... Is this true? or just a myth. Ive also heard its not plug and play.. you have to splice wires for install. Can anyone that has put one on a B6 chime in?

I really think Audi steering wheels are ugly. RS one looks like it would be very comfortable to hold but I hate the center of it. Could not justify the price.

Really? I think Audi makes the most beautiful wheels in the industry. The BMW and Merc wheels are hideous. Most japanese are overly busy and tech heavy.

Yea I mean it's all taste. Not saying those are terrible, I just don't like them personally to justify spending how much they go for. They are better than my plain 4 spoke though just because of better grip. I like new GTI and both R32 better.

I have seen both wheel and airbag go for between 1000-1600. i modified the harness and emblem from the stock steering to work.

what kinds of modifications had to be done to the harness? Were they for the airbag or radio controls?

The Buttons will ONLY work in an RS4 so no need to try and make em work. The buttons also do not control any radio options anyway. For the harness Basically I wired the B6 pin 1 airbag wire to both PIN 1 wires on both stages on the new airbag, and the second pin the same procedure.

Just wait until Apple starts making some crazy multitouch iphone steeringwheels or something like that. They've redefined a couple industries. No reason they wont make their way towards ours.

Anyway, bringing this back from the dead because now that I have Avic installed I have no need for multi-function wheel anymore. So, if I buy just the plain ole B6 3 spoke is it a plug and play sway or are harnesses different because of multi-function?

That cover will fit but not 100 percent because it is meant for the mkII TT/R8/S3/RS6 airbag which is slighty different

I also had the funky-looking B6 MFSW, I went a cheaper route and stayed 4-spoke, I swapped in a heated A8 MFSW, I really wanted the new TT wheel, but they are kinda expensive, i got a hell of a deal on this wheel and airbag ($15 shipped for the wheel, $55 shipped for the bag)
