my friend Don now works at the dealer in Van Nuys and does service/upgrades on the side at fraction of dealer cost. He is a master technician and spends most of his days workin on R8's...rough life. Go by and check him out if you need stuff done. He has saved me thousands on service and mods! Let me know if you want his cell number.

hey i just got my extended warranty and was looking for a shop.. that wont screw me over with my warranty and have them void it because of some mods... u think ur friend can do that?? p.s is it the dealer right off the 101 freeway???

How much for a timing-belt/water pump job?

I just had the TB/water pump, oil change, Hotchkis H-Sports installed, APR snub, APR DV all installed by him for $500. I bought all parts super cheap from Eurocode and ECS and he provided all labor for cheap. He is your man!!! He has changed coilpacks for nothing in the past. I almost want to keep him on some kind of retainer just for the little things that nickel and dime you that he does for free. Don is a great guy with zero BS! If you guys need his cell let me know.

Where does your friend perform his side business? At the Audi dealer or in his home garage?

Both. Since he moved away from Bakersfield I have not seen his garage set up. He may do things at the dealer for safety reasons, not sure how to answer here. I know safety is important to him so he may choose based on what he needs to do for you. I sure miss having a hook up here! Wish he were closer but I know he's super happy working on R8's all day. I should have been a Audi tech.....
