    Door Panel Removal?

alright, well my friend decided that she needed to slam my passenger side rear door. i heard a funny twang noise and a pop. so naturally i looked. everything seemed fine. so i rolled down the window. went down. sweet. wouldnt go back up. i was furious.

but i can push the window up and down effortlessly with my hand and im hoping that it is just knocked off track.

i tried taking the door panel off but i cannot for the life of me figure it out.

if anyone can help it would very awesome

    thanks in advance!

    Re: Door Panel Removal?

FYI that bottom screw that is black was a HUGE PITA to remove on my car. It goes through into where the elements can rust it a bit. Be careful and use a good #2 screwdriver when you remove that or it can strip. I didn't even put it back in. In retrospect I should have used a power drill with a screwdriver bit to put extra force into the screw to keep it from camming out.

I also broke a few clips on a rear door, but didnt replace them and have no rattles or problems for the past few months.

    thanks guys.

i had checked the a4mods.com one. the rear is entirely different from my experience with it lol. i'm on a4mods.com all the time.

i have the trim piece removed and all the screws that i can find.

eh, we'll see how it goes.

I know this thread is extremely old but it's the first thread that came up on a google search. I want to make sure this hint is there for the next person that has to deal with this. The key to removing the door panel is to remove all of the screws and then start popping the clips out from the bottom and work your way around the sides. After you've undone all of the clips you just have to lift up on the door panel and it will come off.

Thanks guys...what I'd funny is I found the above tread via Google vs the search function on this site. Today, I'm going to call my local dealer and order the switch.
    Enjoy your week
