Can someone please help, not sure on the spec. for that battery light, and whats up with that freewheel pulley on the alternator.

I change my alternator because the battery light on the dash came on and it look like the alternator was crapping out. After i change the alternator the light is still on and when i first start the car the alternator doesnt charge till i rev the car. When the i check the voltage after the alternator kicks in, its between 13.4v-14.1v. Depends if the the a/c was on or on cold start up, but it looks good to me.

My alternator has the freewheel pulley, so i was wondering if the pulley could be the problem(I had to swap the pulleys). Or could it be the alternator again? Or both?

oh yeah, the battery is brand new, and still good.

My light is always on, and i just want to know what i got to do to get it to turn off. But it does seem to be working after i rev the car.

Did anyone else have this problem?

update- change the alternator again, so i dont think its a bad alternator.

No one else had a problem with the battery light being on?

    Re: Problems with the alternator.

i pinch the alternator wire when i did my clutch a year ago. But the funny thing is that the light only came on recently.
