exhaust bracket ?

Whats up guys a couple days ago i heard a wierd noise come from underneath my car and it turns out that it was the exhaust bracket right before the space for the spare tire at the end of the car. the bracket has cracked and it rubs against the pipe itself and makes an annoying noise so today i unscrewed that bracket from the other side and now the noise is gone thank god. but i wanna know if this will have any other effects, the exhaust is supported by the rubber hanger pieces and other things also but will this loosen the pipe up at all or anything ? thanks guys

So lemmie try and get this straight... the rear half of ur exhaust is only supported by the hanger on one side of the car??? U have 3 choices:

1) Either prepare for the whole thing to fall off the car.
2) Or go here genuinevwaudiparts.com and order the part - prepare to drive gently meanwhile.
3) Or call up the dealer and order the part - also drive very gently meanwhile.

Personally I will park the car till I got the part or if driving watch out for bumps.

If u were local I would have let u have my 5yr old ones I swapped out when I did my exhaust upgrade but we are on opposite coasts.
