I am having a HELL of a time getting the muffer back into said hangers. This is the only thing in my way of completing my TP/DP install.

FWIW I am putting the stock modified muffler back on.

if you are talking about sliding the metal rod back into the rubber hanger, silicone spray or wd-40 is best to convince the rubber into cooperating, however if that isnt readily available, any kind of lubricant should help (pam, clean motor oil, butter, whatever).

Carb cleaner is also extremely slippery when first sprayed on, and then it evaporates. Good trick for installing hoses and stuff you don't necessarily want to slide off later.

Make a mental note to just unbolt them next time... takes 5 minutes... I've removed mine a dozen times.. really easy to just unbolt and bolt back up.

you can unbolt them, stick them on the exhaust, then bolt em back on.
