    Suspension/Ride hight help needed

Can someone please help me sort out a ride height issue (I have searched the forums and not found the answer). I currently have an H&R sport spring/OEM shock setup on my 2001 s4 sedan and it is running too low (24.75") for the Chicago winters. I am looking to replace this with a coilover setup (thinking Vogtlands).

What I need to know is what the stock ride height of the '01 s4 is. All of the research that I have done on C/O kits indicate lowering ranges from stock (typically, 1"-3"). I think that I am looking at a final ride height need of 25.75" to 26" to accommadate my summer 18" and winter 17" wheels, but need to know if this within the stated ranges of the various kits. Given the cost, I don't want to make the same mistake that I make with the spring purchase.

Vogtland coilovers will have no problems getting the car up to a 25.75" ride height.
The H&R Sport springs on the S4 are really quite low, and generally not a recommended spring from us unless you want the car low. The Vogtland coilovers offer a very usable range of ride heights from nearly stock to really really low if you want it.

Thanks Mike, I should've called you guys before I put in the springs.

Further to the ride height need, will I need additional height to accommadate an aftermarket exhaust system or do these typically fit neatly into the existing cavity. I am considering something like the APR Cat-back stealth or the AWE Twin2 and want to plan accordingly.

AWE Twin 1&2 do hang a bit lower than most but if i remember correctly if installed right should hang no lower than the lowest part of the car. I'm going to raise my car up this week to accomidate my Twin 1 also going in. I was thinking of only going up to about 25.25 maybe 25.5 at the most to accomidate it. If you can wait till friday i can post pics and let you know what its like at that ride height.
