To clarify the core exchange fee:

If you do not send us in your core first then we will charge a $400 core exchange fee. $600 (trim) + $400 (core exchange) = $1000

When you send us your old trim back we refund you the $400 core exchange fee.

The total price you will be paying is $600 for the trim.

Lame question, but i can't tell from the pictures, this is in fact a 9 piece set? i cant see the 4th door trim piece in the posted pictures.

It is a complete 9 piece set. The last doorblade was being polished when these pictures were taken.

I wouldn't dupe a fellow AZ'er in that fashion!

Alright didn't think you would, but you have to be cautious these days ha ha. I'm definitely considering taking this set off your hands, one more question though what is the difference with the 12oz CF fabric, i mean it looks absolutely terrific, but I like to get as much information as I can (and I'm thoroughly ignorant about CF fabrics).

The 12oz cloth is 'chunkier' when you look at it side by side with the common 6oz fabric you see used for trim.

Here is a picture of the 6oz fabric used for the long dash piece in my car. You can count how many of the diagonal 'strips' cross the quattro badge. In this case there are 9 of them.

If you look at the pictures above of the same piece there are fewer 'strips' since the weave is thicker so they are spaced farther apart.



I have since replaced the 6oz fabric in my car with the 12oz one and the difference is VERY noticeable.

I think they are 1000 bucks OEM. But you would still have your original pieces, which you could sell for a pretty penny, and all said and done new ones would have cost you just 600ish bucks for OEM, non "b" pieces...

i dunno, but brand new brushed aluminum is a grand. A used set must be good for a few hundred bucks. I dont know if the wood is the same price as the aluminum

oem cf trim for b5 was 1200 when i priced it out (2006), i would imagine 1400-1600 is pretty much what it costs now.

getting your oem trim wrapped is definitely the way to go, save the rest of the cash for performance mods.
