    CAD/solidworks file for a 2.8 manual trans?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
A buddy of mine (mechanical engineer) and I are attempting something a little different, that's never really been done before. It would be of great assistance if somebody had a a CAD file for the 2.8 5spd trans already made that I could use (specifically that my buddy can use).

I'd prefer not to go into detail about the project atm, but if somebody has what I need, I'd gladly tell them about what I'm doing.

Reason for keeping it private, ftm, is I've seen too many people on too many forums go "zomg lol i'm going to do this and it'll be epic" and then everybody laughs them off the forum because they know that 99% of the time it never happens; and then it doesnt happen. I fully intend to complete this project, and there will be a lot of pics, etc to go with it. Just want to keep it to myself for the time being.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

i would also be interested in such a file, not for anything specific but to add to my collection of random crap. ive been amassing quite a collection of solidworks files but unfortunately dont have any Audi files yet. if someone would like to share i could hook you up with some hosting....

yeah I know of at least one guy that did it. honestly i wouldn't mind it myself since i wouldn't need to go with standalone, and could pass the new york obd2 emissions inspection :) it would be kind of lame without the t56 though.

A Cosworth 2.3 16v (mid 80's block) to an Audi is one that I've thought of doing many a time. You need to find someone with a FaroArm ;)
