but im installing a VMR boost gauge, and had to remove the cover for the ecu. I removed the bolt for the wiper arm to take it off, but it wont budge. AT ALL. Am I just not pulling hard enough? Is there some special trick? I just didnt want to break anything

    TIA

they are spring loaded. push down in the middle of the wiper blade arm. that should release the side tension on the peg caused by the springs pushing down on the windshield. you wont break anything.

Why are you removing the ecu cover in the first place? And theres more then just one wiper bolt arm in order to remove the cover?

the stud they are on is tapered so even with the nut off its still on tight... fold the arm up and jiggle it around for a bit and it will come off! just takes a bit of force.. not a lot tho.. and some patience

i got the line through without removing that 3rd bolt on the ecu cover so i didnt have to remove the wiper arm.. might want to try that..

small hands and a little persistance does the trick ;)

i didnt have to remove the wiper arm either, but a little trick is to use a heat gun and heat it up a bit. it will pop right off. DONT use a torch. youll catch all the little leaves and sticks stuck in there on fire. ask me how i know. lol

I just did this about a week ago. The best way to take them off is to grab with your whole hand right at the base as close to the nut as you can get it and wiggle up and down. It will come right off. My dad had the same trouble getting the blades off his vw bus and was kinda upset watching me do it so easily.

Oh and its much easier to take off that last bolt on the cover to have more room than to try to fit your hands in there. Then again, I have big hands so thats just my opinion.
