So i have a B6 Avant.........but i'm starting to like the A3 look ALOT. So went looking around for some. I like the 2.0t but i know i would be modding the shit out of it. Then i saw a 3.2 today. Is that the same motor in the R32? Do alot of people have them and modd them? What modds can be done.

I used to have MKIV GLI 24v VR6. Loved the way it sounded, and liked that it was fast.

Thanks for any input, advise, and opinions

The 3.2 can definitely be modded.

3.2 isn't as quick as the 2.0T and the mods are going to give you a lot less gain than they would for the 2.0T. Trust me, you'll be much happier with the 2.0T

    Re: A3 Question.

Depends on whether or not you want to have Quattro, which in NY you may want. The 2.0T is much less expensive to mod and get excellent gains, but you have to buy a new '09 to get quattro. The dough you could save on a used 3.2 Quattro could give you more mod budget on the 3.2 but for major gains like the R32 you need to spend some serious cash.

Def looking for Quattro. That 2.0 motor is awsome. My wife just got the MKV GLI. I love the way it drives. Wish i had the 2.0T motor in my car. But is seems like the modds for the 2.0 are pretty expensive, well at least a bit more than the 1.8t.
