with all this unitronic talk, it makes me wonder if unitronic can do better with BT files then lets say Revo or APR...

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

Check with Unitronic about their recommended brands. But I think that the only one that'll need spacers is Siemens. You should be fine with Genesis or TT's.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

Im about to go UNI stage 2 and im expecting a huge boost (im at 1+ now). I have the testpipe (installed) and siemens 380cc's. I have been recommended to get a new clutch system and possibly cooling to compliment this upgrade since it will be pushing the K03 to its up-most limits. So in all it is actually not just 50 bucks more and injectors, your going to want to do some preventative and complimentary upgrades so the tune can run to its fullest potential. if you get there before I do let me know what you think about the tune.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

Damn i already have a test pipe installed, so when i get my chip i might just buy the injectors and go with Uni stage 2 right away. Seems like most of you are wanting the upgrade anyway.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

I'm stock right now and I'm going REVO, (maybe Uni since I'm hearing all this stuff though). I'm gonna go straight to Stage 2. Injectors, testpipe, DV, and FMIC. Although to truly be at Stage 2 I'll need a full exhaust. It's alot more than just the software.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

^^ I've already got the test pipe, full magnaflow 3" exhaust, and hyperboost DV. Is the FMIC a requirement as well for stage 2? Cause if it is then i need FMIC and Injectors, but if not i just need injectors. And i'll probably get the TT injectors.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

    FMIC is suggested
    Now: RNS-E | Debadged | GIAC 1+

    Soon: Caractere front and sides | S4 Rear | S4 Doorblades | Bi-Xenon E-Codes

Future: GTRS BT Kit | Tip Tranny upgrade for BT Kit

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

^^ Now when they say suggested, do they mean strongly suggested because it will hurt your car without it? Or do they mean you just won't get maximum power gains out of it without one? Cause if it's option number one i think i can wait for the FMIC since getting MAXIMUM gains immediately isn't my biggest concern.

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

the stock intercooler will heat soak very fast running that much boost out of the little hot air pump (Ko3) ... so they say strongly recommended but in my opinion id say its a must because once you heat soak your intercooler you run the risk of pre-ignition since stage 2 runs a lot of timing.... although the computer will compensate for the heat soak (via the IAT and the knock sensor) Id still say its a must if you want the most out of your tune!

For those with Stage 2 Unitronic already, what brand 380 injectors did you use??? and are they the best for the unitronic stage 2 software?

    Re: stage 2 unitronic

you don't 'need' an FMIC to run any injector file on a B6.

An FMIC is helpful in preventing heatsoak and keeping the car consistant. You will notice a difference with the injectors alone, and will also notice a difference if you upgrade the intercooler later on.
