Need Some Help... Chime in

Hey guys, Happy New Year. I just changed my B1 S1 o2 sensor today. put the car back together and it just cranks and will not start. Check for codes and get a charge pressure sensor code. get to looking around and realize i have a short to ground in the wiring. finally figure out that when i put my secondary air pump back in i broke the plastic connector that the drivers side cam position sensor plugs into and the leads were touching the metal housing. I seems that they either share a ground or power, but i released the short and glued the connection ( temporary) no short and no codes. no codes for anything whatsoever. engine just cranks. Help me out. what could be unplugged or broken and not throw a code but keep the engine from starting. RPM sensor? what a day..... HELP

man sorry to hear about the problems. did you check all your fuses? maybe you blew a fuse since you shorted something out with that one plug.

Check the crank sensor connector. Maybe you broke a wire because the connector is junk i just had to repin and rewire my. Just a thought.

If that doesnt help i would go all over and check if any connector is unpluged or wires broke.

I will check the crank sensor today. I checked all fuses last night. I followed a diy from AW, anyhow, i took off the secondary air box because it is easier to get ot the passenger side 02 sensor from the drivers side because of the angle it comes out of the dp. its a straight shot from over there and easy to get the 02 wrench on. My concern is this, i had a short to ground on the drivers side cam sensor. but it showed no codes for it. i wonder if i effed up my ecu. it seems that i should have had a code for the short. my EPC light comes on on the dash as it should. I will get under there now and check everything. keep the ideas coming guys. also, what is the best way to get to the crank sensor?

fixed....I don't know.... I got up this morning and it started right away... WTF I love Audi's. Maybe i got something wet checking for boost leaks... whatever. thanks for the input guys

no. i feel that i may not have heard the end of this one. at least i know it is not a failed part and just probably a loose connection or damaged harness etc. I will post any new info that i get!
