    not exactly...more like snow shoot...LOL...

With so many RS4 'eye-candy' dominating the board, I thought we S4 owners should do something about it...j/k...

Anyways, here're some pics with snow and I hope you guys enjoy...

love the car colour combo. Wish I had those white seats.

this pic is my fav, even if not the most complimentary to the S4.
Shooting our car with a wide lens from the front tends to make it look a little big nosed. From the rear though, in your driveway, the wide lens proximity-to-film-plane-distortion (or whatever you call it) makes the car look awesome.

why do you use photoshop for sizing? Easy to do batches in Lightroom. It's pretty excellent.

Sebring, you need to post pics of your cars! Wanna see the C63!

Thomas, snow is fine but DO NOT go downhill on ICE! I spinned 360-degree 4 times today and was sliding backwards when I tried to angle the car and pose for the pic (thinking downhill background might look cool )... ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES IN MY LIFE!

Wheels locked and car was out of control... I was VERY BLESSED (THANKD GOD) to not hit the car on the side but got stopped by some snow!

It had no problem going up though in snow/ice but again, going down is very dangerous...yes, I braked and let go, braked and let go...and didn't work.. E brake did not work, either... it was very scary.

You're so right. Snow won't stop our Quattro AWD, but there's nothing we can do about ice. Glad you're okay.

Here's a pic of my C63 from early last month. It's been snowing up here in Vancouver for weeks now, and there's no end in sight.

The C63 is pretty nice, but I still love my S4.

We had an AMG meet a week before the first snow fall. When the weather improves, we'll have another. There are some AMG folks from Seattle who come up as well. If you're interested, you'd be most welcome to join us. There are a few other Audi owners who've mentioned they'd be interested as well.

Sorry, the picture quality isn't very good. Just snapped them with a Canon pocket camera. One of the other guys took high-res in raw mode.

I have a Sprint blue with the white interior also. They look great together. I'm jealous of the DTM kit though. Your car looks great. My car is sitting in upstate New York right now during winter break in the snow on its own. These pictures are making my separation anxiety crazier...

    Re: [B7] S4 snow run

Snow tires are amazing. I got the idea from my salesman, we were talking about how some of the S4s they have with High performance summer tires, barely go in the snow and ice. I bought Semperit sport grips, they are cheap, $71 per tire for 205/55/R16, grip like a mother, and hold air well to, sat all summer long, didnt loose any psi, still at 35! Try some, you will be amazed!

Snow tires are night and day. When I had my summers on and got hit by the first snow, I tried turning into a driveway from a reasonable speed, and the car just would not stop. I ended up sliding 20 feet past the driveway ON FLAT GROUND before the car finally came to a stop. I threw snow tires on the next week and my traction control light went from constantly on to gone just like that.

you can afford a 5d2....just sell that 85 prime!

Kind of an impractical lens isn't it? weighs about the same as an S4...costs $2000...autofocus is the slowest on earth. Depth of field wide open is unparalleled though. Still I'd seriously consider selling that unless you're a pro with 9 lenses because there are many other ways to skin the 85mm cat. That is unless you run an available-light-only portraiture business in your dimly lit house in Sweden...in winter. THEN the 1.2 will come in handy ;)

    Covert & Saki, thanks!

Saki, that is actually my wife's favorite lens so I can't sell it.... I myself use 85 f/1.8 when she's on the shoot, too...LOL...

As far as 5D2... I think I'll get paid the same amount no matter what I use... so probably won't upgrade for this business reason... Also I will need a bigger harddrive to accommodate the file size if I ever upgrade
