    swapping o2 sensors, do i need to clean or anything??

    o2 sensors is done on the avant, now swapping from my sedan..got it out of the sedan letting the avant cool down then putting the sensor in, meantime do i need to clean it or anything..it has white residue on the threads..looks like burn marks or what not, these 02 sensors are coming from piggie pipes. so thats what im thinking..but do i need to clean them..

    Clean the bungs and threads, reapply antiseize. That's about it. Don't try to clean the sensors themselves.

    Swappped o2 and now bank1 is showing a CEL and bank2 is still bad, cleared codes drove for an hour then these just popped back up, any ideas im gonna search around tomorrow any ideas?

    do you think it made a difference that i took the o2 sensor out of my stage 3 piggie pipes, and put them into a stock S4, now on to the codes!

    o2 Sensor Circuit Bank 1 No Activity

    o2 Sensor Circuit Bank 2 No Activity

    HO2S heater circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

    17548.P1140
    Bank 2 Sensor 2 Internal Resistance to large

    why did all these codes pop up after i swapped my o2 sensor from my piggie pipes from my stage 3 to a completely stock s4...i have no idea..
