I'm 17 and still a high school student so nice high-end mods are still out of the question for me. Especially making the monthly payment. but enjoy!

on paying for it yourself and working. I worked at Winn-Dixie in high school and sank money into a '73 SuperBeetle (this was around 1991). If you can afford it and keep your grades up, then why not have a nice car?

I haven't seen your plate around town, but I generally stay within 5 miles of downtown.

I work at Albertson's. customer service. I don't like it at all but its steady and assured so ehh. I really love working for the car though. I think it's totally worth it.
The tails are Depo's. I wanted something with a little smoke in it, but nothing too much or too ricey.
Mods I wanna do in the near future:
smoked side markers
clear corners
boot lip spoiler
chrome side mirror caps(still kinda ehh about that)
but like I said. Right now anything I do to the car is gonna be inexpensive but of good quality and definitely something to keep the car looking nice and genuine.

Oh for sure. Im really always watching what I say because I dont wanna be the kid who's windshield got smashed or doors keyed.
and then you gotta worry about people not knowing how to drive and park and what not. but thats what insurance is for and I pretty aware that sh%* happens lol

Good luck affording the maintenance. I don't really understand why kids buy cars that they can't afford. I understand it's a status symbol and all, but you have no status to symbolize. You haven't done something amazing for yourself yet, you haven't worked your ass off to afford the nicer things in life, you haven't risked much to gain much...

Anyways, I'm not trying to be a hater or anything. I'm just a very logical person and being 17 in high school, driving an 03 A4 makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

The little inexpensive stuff can look good. I just Plasti Dip'd my grill trim today. It's still drying, but I'll post pics later tonight. The Home Depot on Colonial has Plasti Dip if you're interested.

The Depos look good. I like those better than the Helix tails.

X2 and beside an 03 audi is nothing compared to the spoiled kids here in long island and other places. them little ******s already have m3's and amg's but whos paying for them

Yes Im really young, probably to young to have a car such as the Audi but I feel like Im mature enough to understand what it is and appreciate it and I believe I take good care of it. Its not exactly easy to pull close to 28 mpg in the city but I get 26.5+ consistently. I like my car. forget I said Im 17 and in high school, if it's what people are really gonna focus on.

I never really have anywhere to go other than Altamonte, Longwood, Lake Mary, Winter Park or Apopka. but i venture downtown some nights when I just feel like cruising.

Not bad man.. Im 18 ppl, and look I bought my 04 b6 myself.. Just go easy on the modding, lol i know this christmas will def go into the record books for me (considering everything I bought for myself, excluding the cologne I bought, was for the car!) If I were you clear corner lights looks soooooo nice on the DG b6.. Ill post a pic, and if you want to keep the smoked color in your DEPO lights, goto this link below and their you will find a sick mod that will remove the yolky looking amber turn light look... Another cheap mod you can do, is buy the Spoiler from eBay that sticks on the back.. I think it looks sick, and gives your b6 a more aggressive look..
AND consider getting two magnaflow exhaust mufflers, they make the b6 sound jus right, and look sick as hell!

Hey man, glad to hear you liked the look... Umm I might be able to help you on some of your modding... The side marker lights, you said you wanted black ones.. Well I ordered from ECS a pair of the black ones, but I didnt like the look on my car (the chrome strips by the window didnt match with it). If you want them their yours! Just PM me your address. Only thing with those is that there a bit scratched. There is a DIY on how using 3000+ grit sand paper and some PLASTIX by meguairs can repair them... Basically they were in my tool bucket for like 3months after I took them off my car, and they got scratched up ...

As for the clear corner mod, the link below has a good DIY (thats where I did mine).. If you have Halogen lights its harder to do.. But with my Xenons it was a piece of cake... Took me like 2hours (only cuz I was being SUPER careful)..

As for the mufflers, believe it or not I got them for like $103/each from this shop on eBay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...ht_1319wt_1198 Email the seller and tell him, that you refered by James Frey, and remind him that I bought 4 magnaflow 14851's from him, and you were wondering if you could get the same price of $103/ea... I think he'll match that for you.. As for install, Idk how to weld so I took it to my guy who does my exhausts for all my cars, and he charged me like $125? $110? Just dont go to like Midas, or companies like that cuz they have certain hr rates.. Goto a "shitty looking" garage that you can bargin the ppl. lol

I do not understand how you assume us "kids" haven't done something amazing for ourselves yet, or worked our asses off to afford our dream cars. I haven't risked much to gain? HA! Do you know me!?! You are the kind of person that gives Audizine a bad rep.
Anyways, A4OrlandoB6, Your car looks great and has a lot of potential! Speaking from an 18 year old that has had audis since I was 14, Spend your money wizely! Make sure that what you purchase is what you need, because maintenance will catch up on you. $$$$ I dont know how many miles you car has, but keep in mind you will need to replace the timing chain every 60-80K miles. My car needed a new steering rack which set me back some mod money. Although there are some cheap mods that are fun to try. Some mods are de-badging and ghost turn signals front and back. IMO your headlights would look great joey modded and clear cornered. It would compliment your great looking tail lights. I would also grab some black spray paint and paint the rear mufflers. Spray paint can be fun if you are into painting your grill surrounds, audi logos, and trunk trim. Have you looked into carbon fiber mirrors? The cars color would look nice with some osir design mirrors. Best wishes with your car and welcome to the zine!

Dude, im 18, senior in high school... Got this car when i was 17 in March of 08. I have been perfectly fine with what its all costed me... Granted if you add it all up, its been a lot of money. BUT you buy these types of cars for certain reasons... Looks, Performance, Handling, Modding, etc... He probably has his reasons. Personally, I bought my b6 because I wanted something that was "exotic", aggressive looking, fast, equipped, etc.. And even though at times (when the service bills come my way) I regret buying such a shop queen, this car makes up for it the moment I turn it on!

The shark fin only came on certain MY's, found on less B6's than more actually, and an ugly addition IMO. The antenna for the radio is in the rear window glass just as it is in most cars these days

Doesnt it sound soooo much better than that Lexus stereo you came from? If you use your iPod more than anything (like me) get the iPod adapter... Its my BEST, and MOST PRIZED mod I've done to my car. It tricks your Bose into thinking their is a 2nd cd changer in the trunk, so when you click CD again it will say "CDC" and the iPod system plugs into the back of the radio and the plug for the iPod comes out the other side. Its the plug that goes into the bottom of the iPod (so as long as you dont have a shuffle, your fine) and it gives you CD quality sound from your ipod... Not Cassette quality.
