What clutch are people running with rs6 turbos

how are the southbends compared to stage 3 vast cermaics and what not...can i get by with a clutch that is easy on the daily driver..like a vast stage 2 or south bend street series?? how hard is the rev matching and driving from street to track series. or kevlar to ceramic.

When kevlar gets hot it starts to get sticky. If you want a strong clutch get a ceramic or feramic clutch disk.

I just put a Southbend Stage 4 clutch in. Havnt driven the car yet, but Greg has said it is pretty easy to drive. Clutch pedal feels like the RS4 clutch

I gotta go get it first. And it has to be finished tuned first. Picking it up on friday. SB stage 4 was $750 shipped from Avalon MS, and i have a AWE LWFW. Motor is stock.

Havnt had that problem.

Many many 5K drops on my kevlar disk, (ECS stg3) and still looks like new, three years later.

Went with a Vast stage2 Kevlar disc....easy to live with on the streets...lots of grab on the track. ~$650 from JHM

id raise the idle and torque offset a tad too if you dont wanna stall it all the time coming off from a light.

I'm doing RS6's and I've been researching clutches quite a bit lately. I'm down to either the Southbend stage 4 FE or Clutchmaster's fx400 6-puck with their flywheel or the WMS steel flywheel. I've all but decided to go with the Clutchmasters, and there was a guy on ebay selling them for pretty cheaply.

vast stage 3 FTW, not bad for a daily driver and boom-shaka-laka grabs like hell

Vast2 is a perfect clutch if your car is 90% daily driver 10% track. If you do a lot of drag racing you might opt for the stage 3. You'll feel the different on the street though. Its much stiffer and the engagement point is higher.

So true my stage two spec was a piece of shit. I've also heard a lot of great things about the southbend clutches, but vast is a good choice as well

I've used Southbend before on a different application, can't go wrong there.

Right now I just installed a Vast Stage 3 on my car. Overkill for the current power, but I'll be taking care of that soon. A little juddery from a stop on the street, but fine other than that.

Dude, from all of my research I've gathered that you'll want more than VAST stage 3 with the power you'll be running daily, but take that as you will.

Im stage 3 on a CM stage 3, if I had it to do over again, I think I uhave gone stage with a six puck ceramic.

I have the VAST Stage 2 with LWFW. I like it a lot. It has a pretty stock engagement, well not entirely, but it's very easy to get used to. I don't have RS6's but I'm putting down 435 tq to the wheels on pj ko4's and it handles it fine. Granted I don't launch the car or really shift that hard.

You can get a new surface disc for it. It is $150

be careful about a built block. I was gonna just do rods, but than turned into building everything. It is costing me close to 7k in parts alone

I just said i had a Southbend Stage 4 in my car. It is very easy to drive. You just need to keep the revs a little bit higher than you would with a RS4 clutch.

South Bend has great customer service, they're easy to drive and their clutches can take a real fucking beating. a southbend stage 4 will take countless launches on the street. I personally have done 20 launches in a stage 3+ car with a southbend stage 3 and it wasn't even my car. To this day the clutch holds perfect and you can imagine how it is driven on a daily basis if the owner lets me launch it back to back at 5-10 street lights in a row while he sits shotgun.
