So i was looking over this tech article and im wondering what happens to the brown ground wire? Do i just cut or do i have to ground it? I guess a4s have two wires and s4s have 3 wires. I got rid of my airbag connection awhile ago and just soldered it. what do i do?

Yeah, he probably would have mentioned it otherwise. Gator Al knows his stuff.

on the A4 forum because their seats aren't as nice as ours.

What do you think he did with the brown wire? stick the resistor into the plug and leave the brown wire alone, done. I really don't see how its a point of concern, it would be one thing if he said to cut it and leave exposed wires under your seat to arc on something but that is not the case.

Re: Need help tricking the airbag (aftermarket seats)

When i fitted a pair of Recaro Pole Positions to mine they came with a set of plugs that clip onto the original airbag plugs then a resistor plugged into that, which fools the airbag light into thinking they're still connected, you should be able to pick these up from Recaro easy enough and make it an easy fix. Exactly the same as these from Cobra but specifically for Audi, It doesnt say what these are for, but shows you what they look like at least.
