3m makes a great transparent film you can have applied to the car to protect it if you do alot of highway driving, it could save you the trouble of "masking" the car each tim e you go on a trip.

That looks like my avant when moved from oregon to denver a few months back haha. got some great looks at the gas station, atlas and blue painters tape go well together, i did the whole hood, mirrors, fenders and a strip above the windshield. It worked very well its a very good idea for long drives.

Not to Sound like a dick.... buy WHY!!!!!!! It's a car. I don't get the whole painters tape thing. Kids around me do it all the time. Does everyone think there car is a show car?
Clear Bra, and call it a day. Take that 1.5 hour and add some more time to it and it's done.

to go threw all that trouble isnt worth it. yea the car is betiful but that is just over doing it. i would be embaresed to drive with tape all over my car. and dosnt it leave sticky resadue

No it doesn't leave any residue! I think its worth it! Id rather spend a little time and do that then be pissed off every time I see the rock chips on my car!

yeah i'm anal about my car too. Having only half a front bumper is killing me. If i could keep my car pearly, shiny, and glistening at all times i would.

so i made it down to oc without rock chips in my bumper but got a "fix it" ticket for tint and no front plate the cops in my home town of mammoth have nothing better to do but harass people for stupid things!

Can you legally drive the car on the highway like this?? I mean wont the CHP pull you over?? This seems like I a great idea since my hood keeps getting more and more chips in it after its repaint..

yah its totally legal! I got pulled over today and got a ticket for tint and no front plate.. he didn't even mention the tape haha ...

Ive already got the tape off and im gunna clean her up good tomorrow morning before the meet!

whoa! I never knew that was legal... Ya the cops so far here in my area havent minded about the dealer plate.. The same cop that loves to pull HS students over like 2 blocks from school sees me every day, and never has pulled me over for only having one plate... Guess he likes the car! hahaah
