Has anyone heard of the key hole delete on the driver's door or attempted to get it done? I did a quick search and didn't come up on anything really. TIA

I think you can replace the frt. door handle with a rear one.

    Re: Key Hole Delete?

I did a similar thing on a beetle I had that got broken ito, just remove the handle use the penny to block the lock and fillit with epoxy, then sand and add some body filler sand and prime, paint, then when the battery dies use the trunk, or maybe ge a handle from a UK market car, the left fromt door should be the passanger over there.

    Re: Key Hole Delete?

As I'm sure all of you have seen - deleting not only the key hole, but shaving the handles as well is very common in the hot rod world. In the instance that the key fob might fail (truthfully how often has that happened without warning?) and you've deleted the keyhole - there is a kit out there that is a door release button that is intended to be hidden somewhere on the body (similar to our trunk release above the license plate) in the event that the remote fails. My dad had one on a 51 Ford Tudor coupe that had the handles shaved. The doors usually opened with a remote - but you could reach into the front grill too and push the button. You could program 1 or all the doors to pop with the kit.
