power steering??

i was doing donuts in the snow then i stopped, went to turn around and noticed i didnt have powersteering. i went and cheked the fluid and it was empty. i went and got fluid and filled it up. It doesnt leak, and i still dont have powersteering. is it the belt or the pump????

gee i was doing snodonuts and now my power steering stopped working

OP, i would add some fluid ASAP, make sure its mineral fluid from the dealer

its a special kind of mineral fluid... if you can find a approved fluid anywhere else you can certainly use it, just check the book for specs

haha you burnt out your power steering pump. those pumps when steered lock to lock burn out in under 30 seconds.

I find in cold weather when pushed from max to max, the power steering system is not very good, so when doing snow D's, relax on the steering, or do as I do and avoid making the donuts!! Likely blew your pump.

im pretty sure its ur pump audi has replaced 4 on my car so far ive had the car for about a year and a half.. :( they tend to go bad i guess but i have FWD CVT and dont do donuts or anything..
