Engine Rebuild Shop In NJ?

Looking to go BT, but wanted to do a rebuild on the bottom end, since the car is at 110k. Anyone know of any reputable engine/BT shops in NJ? Thanks in advance.

Just run the proper compression and leakdown tests to see where to he motor stands. If it passes there is no reason to rebuild other then upgrading rods/pistons.

Compression and Leak test was done as of 100k, results were OK, average of about 70-75 per cylinder. I just worry that the internals won't hold up to the added boost. Either way I need to find a good shop that is reliable for that kind of work, since I am unable to do that myself. Thanks for the lookout though dude

Where are you located in NJ? I know of a really good shop but its in PA (Philly burbs), so depending on where at in NJ it may or may not be worth your while to make the trip.

I know that Bob with QED Power is on the east coast somewhere and finding a machine shop trustworthy enough can be difficult, so some other AZer's have shipped their engines across the country just to have Bob work on them. I would suggest you PM someone who has done this like Dougyfresh or CO Avant and get their opinion.

ASP is quality but you do pay a little extra, never heard of Volkstech, and KMD are crooks.

ASP is closest. QED and Jake are up in Rhode Island. Bob is probably swamped as usual and Jake's schedule (I think) is more open.

I'm fairly busy, but could do a motor overhaul in 3 weeks or maybe less if we are bolting stock parts back on
