    Rs6 or tials what's the pricing in it.

    This is what I figured out
    Rs6 turbos 3500
    Vast tune 500
    60 Lbs injectors 2xx

    Tial kit is how much and what do I get??
    Can I buy the turbos and have vast tune it? (will cross post with aw)
    What do you guys think? Worth it to spend a little more and get tials or stick with rs6 what do you think the cost difference will be

    I think its too early to tell yet what he TIAL's are capable of..

    But the kit iirc was about 5200 for turbos and inlets and lines..so thats a bit more than the Rs6s of course..

    Either setup you would want rods replaced on the apb at least..

    probably want bigger than 2.5 in downpipes too...also clutch replace..
    new maf housing for either...ADDS UP! Dang I need a better job!

    Already have 85mm maf I'm going with my rs4 cltch lwfw and running low boost. Looking for ssac dp. Are the tial inlets not rs4 inlets

    why run the tials or the rs6s with an rs4 clutch? They have trouble holding the power from a PJk04 setup. Get a better clutch if you're going to drop 3300-5200 on turbos and get rods so you can actually enjoy the full potential of these turbos.

    I just bought the Tail kit I am going to do my rods so that I can get the full potental out of these turbo's. Yes you can get Vast to tune them that who is going to do mine.

    Then stick w/ K04's........you NEED rod's w/ TiAL's or RS6's. Otherwise, you would see close results to K04's.

    And yes Mikey will tune TiAL's, I talked to him about doing it for me....

    And why would you buy SSAC DP's? When going a GT setup like you are talking about, why would you try to "save money" w/ a cheap-ass DP setup??

    And that RS4 clutch, say bye-bye to it....

    not talking about a gt setup at all. Looking to keep stock rods vast and jhm and a few other tuners have had great success with stock rods and low boost, rs4 clutch stood just fine with a vast 24 psi tuned aggressively, so yeah an ssac dp are identical to awe pipes. I inor awe dp are just fine for rs6 turbos, with tials I have no idea.

    i went with a EPL tune- I'm hitting 31psi and holding 27-28psi with rosten rods... Stock Rods will be your weakest link if with a rs6 setup.

    Rs6 turbos from JHM - Tuned by EPL. Lets not start arguing about this if you don't believe me.

    jared@stasis was selling them as a side business. He left stasis a few months back but I think he's still sells them. $999- seems like a no-brainer

    I paid $350 in labor (4hours) when the engine was already pulled with valves and lifters from.

    Correct. I don't think the 2.7t needs to be rebalanced with rods. I still have stock pistons. I'm not a mechanic so double check if your planning to do this your self. Doesn't seems like a DIY project though

    Nope, my next upgrade. EPL has a strong file if your planning on it. its basically a toned down version of their race file.

    Gas is pretty good in NYC tho. We have real 93-04 octane.

    I had a machine shop balance my entire rotating assembly to within a gram... I've been down the build road before.

    You will need a clutch stronger than the RS4 clutch. I already did that and am replacing my clutch already after like 1000miles or so.

    Yea pretty much every aftermarket rod should be within a gram of eachother out of the box. Most people balanse rods to .01g's. Balancing a rotating assembly is actually a really simple process. First they balance the crank by spinning it to check for any vibration. If its not balanced theyll drill into the counterweights to take off enough material to get it perfect. Then they simply weigh each rod to see if theyre all withing .01g's of eachother. If they arent then theyll take material off the tab on the bottom of each rod until theyre all close to being the same. Same thing goes with pistons, but theyre almost always perfect out of the box...so alot of people will balance the rods and pistons together.

    Cost really depends on where you go. Its not as expensive as you might think, and its definitely cheap insurance. I usually get the crank balanced and do the rods myself. It saves a little money and that way you can be anal about it and do it exactly how you want.

    It was around 1k and change. Hot tanked, decked, balanced everything, not just the rods. The shop also built my 2.8 heads as well.

    when you run lighter rods you need to balance the crank accordingly. European stuff is usually well balanced from the factory but knocking off 30grams a rod or so with a 550gram rod you really should get it balanced.

    dont hold me on this, only searched for a little bit, tial R650 kit is $5800 retail, and it does not have fueling kit, exhaust manifold and dp

    Jared what do you suggest rs6 wise, am I ok with stock rods, and a different clutch? Which one would you go with? Are ssac dps fine? I know mike from vast, used piggies and he sold them on audiworld

    Is the ceramic hybrid with lwfw to much for daily driving on rs6 turbos with no rods
