    Re: headlight fogging

Some say it is normal, if you want it gone wait it out or use a hairdryer through one of the holes after you pop off a cap on the back. If you have opened your headlights before then I'm guessing you didn't seal it back up well enough.

You can try dropping a sicilia packet in the back of the housing.. might soak up some of the moisture.

    Re: headlight fogging

Did this just randomly happen or did it happen after you opened up your headlights?

This happened to me after opening my headlights to black them out. One sealed back up just fine with what was left of the glue from the factory. However, the other one fogged up a lot. I bought some silicon window sealant and applied it around the whole edge of where the headlights seal together. I haven't had any fogging since...

The only standing start, straight line racing I enjoy is on the way to the first corner.

Seal is bad. Generally happens when you open up your headlights etc. Who knew these things weren't meant to go in the oven? Just clean them and seal them using a plastic sealant. Make sure you let them dry out beforehand though.

100% pure silicone (like for aquariums) works the best IMO but you could get any exterior sealant from home depot. FYI white looks the worst. Get black or clear if you can.

    My 2 cent:
Because I open quite a lot of headlights with the LED Strip conversion, I do not use any silicone but the same original compound (Butyl) and I don't have any issue.

Phil, can you provide a link, part number, etc of the sealant you buy?

almost 2 years after CCing my headlights one of them is developing some moisture...FML
