Alright, starting it off. Car is a 2001.5 (hehe) 1.8t, Tip, AWM engine, GIAC ECU, K04 turbo.

My maf took a poop on me 2 months ago, running fine unplugged a little rich but not a big deal. I got a new MAF installed today and now my boost is 10-13lbs. It was before with a TurboXS boost controller 19lbs PEAK. I might have a boost leak but im not to sure.

When I am half throttle its basically almost like WOT. Between 1/2 way and all the way down (not as far as kickdown mode) Its the same throttle respone, I ran VAG and when the pedal is say, 65% pushed in, Throttle body is 97% - 100% open, than when im fully depresed its 75%.

Now for the next problem, when TIP switches into next gear I have a series of small misfire's followed by a huge backfire when I let off. I checked for codes and I appear not to have any. I am stuck. Could a boost leak cause my misfires/backfires?

    Anyone have any idea's?

What are your peak mass airflow readings at WOT? It's an "L" revision MAF, correct? That's the only one that'll work for an '01.

Yeah, get a log of the MAF readings and also post up the part # of the MAF you have installed.

I have a spare (brand new) that I can sell you also if you do end up needing it.

Block 002 will get that for you.

Do a log at WOT in 3rd gear then post it up.
