    IPOD Dice Adapter...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

Im trying to find out if the dice ipod adapter, model #: i-Audi-T2 will work with my 2003 A4, Non-Bose with Symphony II in-dash cd changer. I can get one cheap on craigslist in my area. I called dice and they told me that I needed the i-Audi-R model but when I questioned them specifcally on whether or not the -T2 model would work, they wouldn't tell me no. They just kept saying that that was an old model with old firmware and that they would not reccomend it. Of course they tried to sell me a new one over the phone. Are they just blowing smoke up my ass or will the T2 NOT work with my setup? Also, they said that the T2 model would not charge the Ipod. I would be using it with an ITouch 16GB generation 2.....However I forgot to mention that to Dice...(Like it would have mattered though...)

I thought I read that this Dice model plugs into the CD changer harness but I dont know if my A4 is wired for a trunk changer or glove box mount. Anyone know?

    Any help would be appreciated.

^ Has it worked before and then just stopped working?

You might need to download the new Dice firmware on your ipod, then when you plug it back in, it updates the unit.

There are little white switches on the side of the converter box, are they switched the correct way? I cant remember offhand what the correct way is but a little trial and error may solve your problem.

Also older ipods charge on 12V, while newer ones like the touch and iphones use a 5V input. Dice makes both, it sounds like you have the wrong kind, but even if it doesnt charge it should still play music
