    Hello.
Anybody here that have removed the grill on the new A4? Going to take the grill to have it painted black. Do I have to remove the whole bumper?

i've only glanced at it, but it looks like it's similar to the b7 and you have to pull the bumper

Once you remove the grille, it's held in by tabs.

Re: How to remove grill on A4 B8?

I followed a german DIY (translated w/ Google Translate) to try to remove the grille w/out removing the bumper, and concluded that it'd definitely be easier to just remove the bumper to get at the grille. There's a DIY on removing the front bumper on A5OC; I'll see if I can find the link when I have more time.

^Yup, that's the one. Thx for saving me the legwork

The "2nd" method I alluded to in that post is indeed pretty hard after having tried it a few weeks ago.

    Front Grille replacement

    Hi All,

I might be in the wrong thread, but I want to know if it is possible to replace just the chrome trim that goes around the front grill on a B8. And if so where can i get it. I found the entire front grille at ECS tuning but it seems silly to replace the whole grill just to replace the chrome.

thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think it has its own part # so it wont be sold separately. Your best option is to check your local junk yard for a grill with chrome surround and remove it from that....Otherwise fork out the money to replace the entire grill. FWIW it's a PITA to remove the chrome trim around the grill and it might be worth it to just replace the grill. The OEM grill itself from Audiusaparts is $200.

I'd just mask and plasti dip the chrome portion. No part removal, and less than $10 in cost. Use clear coat if you want it to be glossy.

    Hey,
I'm going to order a honeycomb RS4 style grill for my 2011 B8 S4 and I found one for a good price on Amazon but in the description, it says for A4 B8. Does the S4 have the same size grill as the A4? It seems like they are the same size; I just wanted to make sure before I order it. Here is the link to it on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/Quattro-Plast...=audi+b8+grill)
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you and yes I was looking at some gloss ones for around $100 or so but then I came across this one and I was like it doesn’t look quite as good as gloss but I figured I’d just wrap the frame gloss black with some extra 3m wrap I have laying around so it all works out.

    Hi,
I’m in the middle of installing an rs4 style grill on my B8 s4 and it didn’t come with mounts for my homelink sensor and the stock mounts don’t fit. Should I just attach it to somewhere else? Or should I just unplug and remove it since I don’t use it (or will that give me an error code?) thanks,

I used some of that 3M 2 sided tape that people use to attach trunk lips and whatnot. Designed for automotive applications. Attached to the back of the crash bar and its Been solid for a year now. make sure surface is clean before attaching.
