Naughty Audi (Dirty Content)

Alright, so I wanted to do this for my 500th post and getting four rings, but I missed that by a few posts.

Anyways, it's been real cold and snowy in the PNW lately and I haven't been able to wash my baby for about a month

So, let's see pictures of your car all dirtied up. Enough of the wash and wax pics, this is where the naughty audi gets to call home.





Thought this was cool. Took the pictures at lunch and found my grey cousin parked across from me.

I don't have any pics, but my car is now dirty. I spent about two hours washing it on Saturday. Today, the lawn people at my apt complex come to cut the lawn...EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN'T GROW ANYMORE....and blow dirty and grass all over my car. They will be hearing from me next week.

Do you ever use your brakes? If I drive my car for a day they are covered with brake dust!! If I don't wash my car for a couple of weeks my wheels look like they are powder coated black!!

I realized how clean they are all things considered after I took the pics.

Maybe it's because of the rain we got the last couple of days? I'm not sure. I am glad they're not completely coated though :)

This was before I did most of my mods and after taking a snowboard trip. My navigation told me to take this road which was a pass through the mountains... At least they told me that the roads would not be clearly marked...

for new year's eve I went up to the ski slopes in 6" of snow, ice and salt. The car was a champ and now I look out the window and my silver b7 is now half white. Heart of a champion...

Actually it wasn't touchless but this is a very quality wash with non recycled water and when my car was as caked with salt as it was, I like going there. Normally I hand wash though.

This has caught my attention. Please elaborate...

The chemicals that are required/used to get your car clean with a touchless wash are very corrosive.

As a result of the corrosives they strip the wax/protectants/sealants from your car during the process of washing. I understand a lot of these touchless washes have a "clear sealant" that is applied at the end of the process...however that only lasts until the first rain.

Anyways, I have been told many detailing gurus that if I ever do need to use one (as in I have no other options haha) then I need to be sure to wax my car afterwards.
