Looking at mildly modded s4 avants.....Tiptronic

Looks like I may be coming back to an Audi once my m3 sells. I loved my old b5 s4 and really wish I did not sell the car. I actually had a chance to buy it back from the local owner but sadly it was pretty beaten up :(

Anyways I am just looking right now online for various cars and found a pretty nice 05 Nogaro avant with bbk's in Ohio (does it belong to an AZ member?)

I'm essentially looking for something similiar in terms of mods but prefer a b6/b7 bodystyle car with low miles. Closer to west coast is a bonus and it must be a TIPTRONIC fellas! (g/f has to be able to drive it or otherwise I would be buying a used RS4...)

Colors I'm looking for either white, dark grey, silver or nogaro blue in that order.


Post up or point me in the right direction for any leads! :)

The b6/7 does not have nearly the same performance modifications available that the b5 had... yet. Couple s/c almost out and a nitrous kit in development but that seems like it for the immediate future. So if your mod happy you might be a little bummed with what you can do with the b6/7.

I love my b6 and wouldn't trade it for any modded b5, but that's just my opinion.

The guy emailed me back and said all of the mods were done by the 1st owner and he's the 2nd owner so he probably doesn't have a clue the value.

I'm not too keen on buying heavily modded cars from previous owners. I just used that ebay car as an example to show what I'm looking for...the drop, rims, roof spoiler, exhaust are all nice mods and love that nogaro blue color.

Is there any other AZ members selling their clean b6/b7 s4 avants?

This wil be eventually our family car and a daily driver so not going to mod this thing that much unlike my m3. Has to be an auto this time around. She's already pretty cool in letting me have my other toys so no RS4.

Ebay car is a joke! First rule of modding a car: Mods decrease the value of a car, not increase it. 2) One will never see any return on there money when buying automotive modifications. 3) that guy is a clown, with those prices and the asking price.

On another note, do you know anyone with there dealer license? There are alot of guys out there that would help you buy an auction car. Look into it its well worth it.
Manhiem auctions is a great auto auction and they see many, many S4's and quite a few RS4's. Manhiem has olot of locations nation wide and even one in LA but the cars that go through that ne are 10-20% higher priced than the other locations.

06 S4 tip with 31K sold for $17K......05 S4 with 6MT 39K sold for 15K...... 07 S4 tip avant with 21K sold for 19K......... just to name a few of the good deals. I believe all of these cars are still under factory warranty so any problems could be dealt with at the local dealer.
Remember, these cars are V8's With the price of gas these days the value of these cars have dropped considerably. The swing is in your favor. dont pay to much because in the summer when gas is back up to $5 a gal. you will be able to pick one of these S4
for 20% les than you can now...if not more of a discount.

Tough to sell anything in this economy :( Many can't even get a loan so selling a speciality item is even harder. oh well, at least it's no rush on my part so just going to wait for the right buyer.

My first choice for the m3 replacement was the RS4 but with manual only that is off the board. IS-F can only seat 4 so that's scratched off. Thus I'm between a pre-owned 05 e55 or the s4 avant. I really like Audi quality and the AWD so been leaning more to the Audi

The fact that my B6 is stick actually helps the GF not drive it...I really dont let anyone, and I hate sitting in my passenger seat when someone else is driving.

The e-bay Link posted by the OP should be worth what in your "expert opinions"? Im sure he has sky high expectations on his return with all those mods, but lets look at the reality of the situation, current market etc etc...
I like the OP am looking for something like this Avant but not at that price.
