    Cam Plug replacement HELP!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was replacing the leaking cam plugs on the rear of the heads and had no problem with the pasenger side. I removed the rear cam cap and pulled out the plug. On the driver's side, however, if I loosen the cam cap above the plug it does not come off....any advice? Should I jus pry the plug out? Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the half moon seal on the drivers side, or the round plastic cap?

    Re: Cam Plug replacement HELP!

You mean that the cam cap isn't coming loose, maybe. Be sure you have ALL the bolts out and tap it at it's base with a wood block or something similar. It should pop off...

Ok...so loosen the cam cover bolts and knock it loose...got it. passenger side was cake but with the driver's side does not want to come loose. Is the cam bearing cap supposed to come off as well?

Looks like it is stuck in there pretty good. It does not want to budge.
