One thread, 3 subjects, need your help...

Hi guys,

#1 I've just installed a podi boost gauge and the needle is not at zero when the car is off, it stands at -4 and it was like this in the box... I guess it's wrong??

#2 My minimum level engine oil lights came on last friday. I've added 1 liter and the next day when I started up the engine, there was a LOT of oil smoke that was coming from my exhaust , it stopped when I drove the car and it did happen one more time but not that much of smoke as the first time... The level of oil seams to be good also...

#3 I was driving my car this morning, everything was normal and then in the shopping center parking lot, my car stopped by itself. No light in the dashboard. I've tried to start it un and it would start at idle for 1-2 seconds... Last days here have benne hot ans humid and today was cold and my gas level was low. I guess I had a frozen gas issue.. so I added gas and gas treatment and try to start it again but it changes nothing...

For the number 3, the car wont start at all... looks like a fuel pump issue...

1. sounds like the gauge is broken

2. Not good, did you check the level when you filled it? or you just dropped a qt in there?

3. You may have popped off an IC hose.. Unplug your MAF and see if you can start it

#2 I've checked the level it it was in the low mesh patern on the gauge

for #2 ill go with the valve seals or rings as the worst..
#3 fuel pump, ic hose.. inmobilizer??

i hope when u checked the oil u had the engine off lol and let it dit for 5mins? ur no noob so i'm guessing u did, i had a light say "Oil Sensor" in the dash was urs similar?

And for number 3 when u came to a stop did u hear a rattle? or did it cut out at all?

i would say IC hose for #3, thats exactly what happens when i pop one off.

no rattle... the engine cut out at all...
and yes I let the oil dit 2-3 min...

Updated news...

I let the car in my workshop for 5 days and this morning it started as a brand new. I drove it for 10 miles as road test and everything seems to be ok... I can't understand what is going on...
any idea for #2?

When was the last time you did your oil change? Might be a good idea to change it and the filter. Take note of how many quarts you remove so to gage whether or not you are burning or leaking oil. If oil amount is normal then perhaps you have a sensor issue. Good luck
