Its really cold the past couple days and my wipers have been coming on out of the blue. Not sure if the two have anthing to do with each other.

    Anyone had this problem??

Well if it isn't the ghost of christmas past.....it might be the actual switch. A buddy of mine had the same issue. He noticed it only happened over certain kinds of bumps though eventually. So he figured it was the switch. Have you noticed anything like that? Bumps, recently smashed the switch by accident? This is an Audi though, so the cold thing is totally possible.

Nah, not really over bumps but I will keep an eye out. I was out more today and it seemed to be doing it less.

    Re: Crazy Wipers

You don't happen to have the wipers in auto intermittent mode, do you...first click? With the rain/moisture sensors in these things, if you leave the switch in auto mode it will mistake frost, ice and condensation as rain and will activate the wipers.

Does this happen just when the car is cold and the windshield is frosted over? Does it continue after the car is warmed up and the windshield defrosted?

What? No rain sensors? That's lame. Thought for sure you C5 guys had rain sensors in the windshield. Ok, nevermind...disregard what I said.
