i would guess the map sensor. i dont think theres a sensor specifically called barometric pressure sensor. the map measures pressure so that would be it. its on 2000+ and its located on the smic. not really an big problem. havent heard of them going bad

What year model is your car? I think I have received this code before, and it was due to the fact that an intercooler hose had popped off or was REALLY loose. Id check on that man.

When you did your FMIC, did you make sure that you put back/incorporate the MAP sensor back into the setup?

i cant remember what year, but after a certain point, the A4 stock side intercoolers had some sensor plug into the side mount.

I don't believe this was on the B5. Seeing that that picture came from A4mods.com its probably a B6.

    Re: does any one know

necessary for your car. the 2000 and 2001 had that MAP sensor which is exactly what a barometric pressure sensor is. it senses pressure to apply the right amount of fuel. You have to install that on your FMIC. get a mount welded on and then install and your limp mode should would go away after clearing

Well the thing is that on the B5, the sensor was connected on a seperate pipe and wasnt attatched to the SMIC. But he just forgot the sensor all together.

    Re: does any one know

MAP sensor = Manifold absolute pressure sensor

Barometric sensor senses the cars current atmospheric conditions to make adjustments for the altitude and barometric pressures. This sensor is located next the ECU in the ECU box.
