alright, when i first bought my car it came with a mbc and it was in a horrible place...it was basically right above the turbo and was resting against the engine so you can only adjust it when the car was cold otherwise youd burn yourself. anyway i was lost the spring in the boost controller so i bought a new one. after getting the new mbc i decided to relocate it to a better stop. i bought 2 new hoses about 2-3ft...i used pretty must all of it. i replaced the hose from the wastegate to the mbc and i used the other hose to ad an extension to the part where there is the "T" fitting (idk what its called). so i ran the hoses behind the airbox heat shield and up a little further...if you had all of the stock plastic coverings on the new mbc would be located near the top right of the air box...almost hanging over where the cat would be.
Before getting the new mbc i was boosting 15psi.
My question is...now that i moved my boost controller...about 2.5 feet from where is was previously...would that cause me to lose a few psi? I have tinkered with the mbc to try to adjust it to 15psi again but now it seems to only spike as high as 12-13psi. can you lose psi from moving it a few feet? ive checked and there are no boost leaks at all. so im stumped and ive never heard of this...just wondering if any of you know.
the set up is pretty nice. i wish i could have posted some pics, but my camera is broke....so i tried to be as descriptive as possible. ill try to get some pics soon.
thanks for the help guys...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
