Not sure how many of you guys use this app (PC, Blackberry, iPhone) but it has saved my ass a few times both local and on trips. I made a group for the MidWest so we get alerts on the Radars, Traps and Cameras in the Chicago land area.

If you have the app, just pm your email and I will add you to the group or do a search at www.trapster.com for "Audizine MidWest"

If you don't have trapster yet, take a look and join up. GPS utility that alerts you to cops that are tagging, red light cameras, speed cameras, ect in your area. Best of all it is free!!!!

good idea.. unfortunately i have a shitty moto krazr and no gps.. plus hick wisconsin is too poor/shitty to have such things such as speed and red light cameras haha

No worries, if you have unlimited TXT you can have it send you a message when a Alert Trap is put up and it will tell you the aprox location.

Think of google maps....then you drive by a cop. You hit a button on your phone and it places an Alert at that location. 10 minutes later I am driving on that same road, I set my radius to 5 miles, so once the alert you set is within 5 miles of my GPS location My phone Alerts me that there is a cop up ahead. LIVE alerts last for 1 hour. But you can also set STATIC alerts such as Speed Cameras, Red Light Cameras and "Cops Often Hide Here" alerts. So when you get with in say, 2 miles of those your phone will give you a verbal alert. On the blackberry and iphone it tells you what is up ahead with a woman's voice; ie. "Alert, Cops often hide here" then if you look at your phone on the map it shows the marked location of where that alert (trap) was placed by another user.

I use it every morning to work and there are a decent few other people who mark stuff on my route (I355 and I88).

The website does a better explination of it but you get the idea. With the group, everything is trusted. Because some people could just place random traps sometimes, the idea with the group is that it is your friends and fellow Ziners marking all the spots so you can trust them.
