Mike Shanahan FIRED!

The Denver Broncos Fired Mike Shanahan and his staff today. This is pretty shocking news for the Colorado community. I honestly think it was time though considering how poorly we played the second half of the season. Who will fill his place is the question...

cowher or kubiack would be a nice fit in denver. im glad though, it was time. yes it might not have been all his faults with all the injuries, but new coaching would be great.

I always liked him. I think that he drafted a ton of really young guys in hopes that the next couple seasons could be really strong. I disagree with firing him. Denver could have some good, strong seasons ahead, but a coach switch will probably not help anything.

Shanahan is still one of the top coaches in the league and will find a job within a week. He is a great offense coach, but we just need a coach more aimed at defense. I think Cowher would fit the bill perfectly. He did give us a beat down in the Championship game at home when we had Plummer...

Lewis and Floorwax figured Shanahan should get coach of the year for handling all of the injuries and still producing up till the last three games. There's no doubt he's a great, if not genius, of a coach. It was just time for Denver to see a new era, and let's hope it is someone who is defensively minded.
