Ipod in 2005 A4 with Display

I am looking for the best way to integrate my 1st gen ipod touch into my 2005 A4, it is the 2005 and not 2005.5 version just in case that matters.
I want the ipod to be charged and to be able to be controlled from the controls on the stereo.
If possible I would like to be able to see song title on the screen and the console screen in between rpm and mph gauges. Also if it will not disable the 6 disc cd changer that would be great to.
If this is not available to work with the factory radio, that's ok I just thought this website would know better than anywhere else.

search. But to be nice to you, its not possible to have the ID tags displayed via cdplayer or the instrument cluster. Denison icelink is the closest you'll get to what you want.

I did search, and saw that was the closest that anyone mentioned. But I just wanted to check to be sure that there wasn't something better before I settled for not exactly what I wanted. I see so many different brands of factory radio to ipod connectors, is Dension the most preferred and highest rated?

With the DICE, there are two modes - one in which you control the iPod from the iPod itself, and one in which you control the iPod via the OEM stereo (DICE mode). I use the iPod mode because I like to switch around playlists a lot, and I keep the iPod mounted on a Panavise mount so that I can see the screen. DICE mode just seemed like a pain.

I think the instructions are online - check out the differences between the modes.

OK, I was really hoping to keep the clean appearance of the interior of my car, even my gps kind of bothers me how it makes the interior of the car look less clean. I will look around and see what I can find, I just can't believe there isn't a way to make it so that the ipod track info can be displayed on the stereo.

Its more so related to our dated symphony II unit then anything. But just get a denision icelink and call it a day. As someone mentioned, its available in two modes, where you can control via stereo or ipod. So you can stow away the ipod if u'd like, or get a clip to put it on your center console. BTW ebay is your friend, as far as i remember I payed for my denision icelink for less then $22. And it works like a charm till this day.

Ahhh, the only problem with switching to a new radio, is the appearance is not as nice as the stock radio with the flow of the rest of the car.

symphony II + i believe may work, but don't quote me on it, or even a RNSE. quite expensive though.
