    So I went and got chipped by Unitronic today(amazing) and my friend had a k04 with injectors laying around and he said if I got it rebuild I could have it!

    Thats my story so now i have to get exhaust sooner than planned.. oh well

    What is it you like, or notice, about the Unitronic programming?

    I've had mine a year now and haven't had any issues.

    A little caveat here . . . I'd be a little weary about turbocharger that needs to be rebuilt . . . there could be so much wrong with it. I went this route originally before I bought a new unit. The one I got used had literally self-destructed and was not usable. I even thought of buying a new spindle assembly for it and decided it wasn't worth the risk of having the unit fail on me. Now if it only needs to have the oil seals replaced or whatnot, then sure this can be done. However, you need to consider that the unit has to be rebuilt on a bench by a person who knows how to balance the turbines properly and accurately. Spinning at a 100,000 rpm or so requires a perfect balance otherwise it's going to explode.

    I took a look at the turbo and it was working and I probably could have slapped it on my car at the time.. I'm going to send it off to a pro that will test and and make sure its all good to go

    Better than stock if I drive like stock.

    I average:

    700 km - 800 km / tank HWY
    350 km - 500 km / tank CITY
