Enough said. Dont waste your money; you only need a "cool down" period if you have gotten into heavy boost or have had a long drive then you can just sit in your car in the parking lot and leave it on for around a minute to be safe.

Turbo timers are a waste of money. Modern oils (especially the synthetics you should be using in your Audi) don't sludge like the oils of yesteryear.

If you drive you car nicely for the last minute or so and change your oil every 5-7k miles with quality oil, you have nothing to worry about.

I have it set for 1 min. If i ran the car hard, I gently drive home and let it time for 3 min

Can any of you guys that Have Turbo timers installed post pics? Im thinking of getting one, after reading this thread I might not unless I upgrade the Turbo. A min in my car after a long drive wont hurt me.

    Re: Turbo Timer

I have a Clifford 2 way alarm, as well as a Greddy turbo timer.

They have worked flawlessly for the past 4 years.

I would suggest you get an aftermarket security system that has a built-in turbo timer.

Also note that because of our ECU Programming, it would be much much easier to use a Can-Bus adapter/converter to help you wire in the alarm system. Otherwise, a 30-45 minute job turns into a 4-5 hour job because of wiring hunting.

    Ask me how i know.
