    OEM A8L mod ideas?

So aside from the heated steering wheel with paddles, the A8L is stock. Are there any OEM options I can add to the car that are fairly inexpensive/simple to do? I was thinking power rear side sunshades, a real treat would be to get the automatic door closers installed.

I have a tendency to accidently press the truck release button when my keys are in my pocket and I'm sliding into the drivers seat, I can see the truck pop up and open. Well since I don't owe a penny on the vehicle I was thinking of adding a momentary button hidden under the arm rest to trigger the truck assist closing circuit while I'm in the car.

Sounds awesome but complicated as well. I was hoping to be able to buy necessarry modules and install them way they were ment to be installed in the factory. Definitely keep us updated on your project though.

LOL I was just about to mention how nice it would be to do that but then I thought "nah, too good to be true." It sucks there are BARELY any A8 owners out there let alone tuners or ones that know a lot about the car. Basically I want to turn my base A8L into an optioned A8L with whatever's possible to install without having to do massive work to the car. If there's even anything available. I'm sure its probably a major PITA to do install most if not all of the factory options.

not to be bias but most of the A8s are used by older people, people with drivers or as luxury limosine service vehicles especially here in nyc just like the S-class and 7series so there not much interest in them and if you do find someone that will mod one, they will charge sooo much that your better off going to Unique Autosports. At least there your warrantied great quality work.

Yeah that's what I ment, I would be pissed if someone took one of those 3 classy cars and turned it into a stretch. Leave that tacky shit for the Hummer.

For old folks eh? I guess it depends on the person as most young bucks usually follow the leaders. I tend to like big 4 door gas guzzling, fast sexy heavy metal sleek lined vehicles. Dosen't matter for... or domestic

The mod to close the trucklid is simple, it's triggered by either a positive 12v or negative 12v. I'll just take a low computer safe test light and see what polarity it is and just add a momentary button somewhere and run a line.

I've been doing professional electronic installations for the last 16 years, so I guess I can mess around with the A8 and see what's up. Haven't done anything but install a Valentine in it so far, it just dosen't seem to need much so I mod to my specific needs.
