I believe the Fuel pump would take you to Stage 2+. As far as I understand Stage 2 is CAI and Exhaust. I don't the brand of the fuel pump would matter if you want to go to Stage 2+

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

why stop at Stage 2? lol If you want to stick with APR software and upgrades, go with their fuel pump, although you dont need a fuel pump for stage 2 most companies are starting to recommend it because of the potential for fuel cut in our cars. The APR comes with their software updates and if you ever plan to go K04 or stage 3 through APR youll already be set with the proper fuel pump.

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

I dont plan on going Stage 3, I have a tiptronic and its too costly to have my tranny rebuilt too handle the extra power from what I'm hearing. Stage 2 with all supporting mods, and meth kit and maybe 75 shot of nos should be enough to satisfy my power needs

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

i have stage 2 and u dont need the fuel pump, the flash is set up for stock fuel pump, but if ur thinking about getting a high pressure fuel pump, than get stage 2+ which factors in the fuel pump which means more horse power which we like

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

as everyone mentioned, you dont really need a HFP, but it helps out and you can turn up boost and fuel higher. If you search, I did a fuel pump thread, that answers some questions and explains problems that people are having with HFP. I stopped updating it, but its pretty good as what it has. If anyone would want me to update it, ill post more information on it.

well I already have a high flow cat and exhaust, so I just go in to my apr dealer and have them reflash me to stage 2 right?

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

yeah thats all you need for stage 2, the stage 2 software is to prevent fuel cuts and stuff and to eliminate the CEL after your throw on a test pipe / high flow cat

Re: do I need the Apr fuel pump?

APR Stage 2 is simply the downpipe and intake.
APR Stage 2+ adds their HPFP to the mix.

    These are 2 different programs.

Contact your software vendor, and see what fuel pump works best with the software you have. HPFP are generally not cross compatible with any software. Software is usually specifically tuned for one specific pump.

Stage 2 has been discussed to death before - use search!

If you have a HFC or TP already, the Stage 2 APR program just prevents the CEL/MIL light from coming on - its purely emissions related and give you NO GAIN IN HP. Gains come from the HFC/TP hardware.
