where is the xm tuner located?

i am installing a rns-e and need to replace the xm tuner with a different model...

any DIY on swapping xm tuners?

open trunk, open cubby door on left...on the top there will be a black square with two larger gaps on the lower side. Use two flat head screw drivers and lever the drawer out...once you are free from the two clips that were there...you can slide the unit out and detach...be gentle or you will find yourself taking the full liner out to get the cables

this is what i got once i open that door. i have also removed that rectangular piece at the top but that just leads into another plastic compartment...

Right...the large rectangle, on the bottom if you looks closely you should see two spaces where the gap is a bit larger...there are two "teeth" or lip fasteners there that need to be released...use the flat head there...
